JTB Corp. and Central Japan Railway Company have launched “LUGGAGE EXPRESS,” a same-day luggage delivery service between Tokyo and Kyoto using the Tokaido Shinkansen, starting November 1, 2025.
With this service, travelers can drop off their luggage at stations or accommodations and receive it at their destination accommodation on the same day.
This allows visitors to enjoy sightseeing more freely without carrying large suitcases while traveling between major tourist destinations on the Tokaido Shinkansen.

• Service area: Kyoto city accommodations / Kyoto Station ⇔ Tokyo city accommodations / Tokyo Station

• Drop-off & delivery time: Luggage checked in by 9:00 AM will be delivered by 6:00 PM or 9:00 PM the same day
　※Midday drop-off options will be added in the future

• Reservation method: Dedicated website

• Service fee (tax included): Regular service (delivery by 9 PM): 13,200 yen per item
　Express service (delivery by 6 PM): 16,500 yen per item
